Fast Recovery Rectifiers

Fast recovery rectifiers a semiconductor device which possesses short reverse recovery time, very low switching losses and low noise turn-off switching for rectification purpose at high frequency.
Rectifiers have many uses and are often found serving as components of high-voltage direct current power transmission systems and DC power supplies. Fast recovery rectifiers convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). Fast recovery rectifiers are optimized to accept high dynamic stress (fast transition from conducting to blocking state).

However, they generally have higher conduction losses than rectifier diodes. For every switch family (GTO, IGCT and IGBT), we offer fast recovery rectifiers that are optimized for the switch application.
